Michigan Treadhead Group Ride Rules
Please follow these RIDE RULES:
1- Leave Safe Stopping distance between machines and ride single file.
2- Always make sure the machine behind you sees where you turn. That is your only job.
3- Have your headlights on at all times. LOW BEAMS ONLY, no light bars or flashing lights.
4- Watch behind you for cars passing you on main roads.
5- Watch for other oncoming traffic on the roads and routes. A warning will be given over radio.
6- Pull as far to the right as possible when stopping to allow room for car traffic to pass, FAR RIGHT.
7- Start with a full gas tank and fill up at again after lunch stop.
8- Take it easy on road shoulders, do not tear them up!
9- Remember if someone is right behind you try not to shoot debris at them when taking off.
10- Make sure you turn your machine # tag in when finishing the ride.
RADIOS:Guides will be using GMRS/FRS CH-21 at 462.7000 MHz, so please stay off unless you
have something that needs reporting, no idle chat please. I recommend everyone carry a radio, but not a must. You can listen in and be advised of oncoming traffic,
bad trail condition, like a washout and so on. If you need to transmit always say who you are calling so more
than one person doesn't transmit at once.
